Retail takes off at Heathrow Terminal 2

In 2009, construction began on the redevelopment of Terminal 2 at Heathrow Airport. With the structure of the main terminal completed in 2012, 67 shops and restaurants had to be fitted out and made operational in preparation for opening day in 2014.

  • At no point was the service unavailable, slow or inaccessible to any of the project stakeholders
  • All 67 retail units were commissioned and fully operational by opening day
